A high-profile family living in Primrose Hill seeks a permanent weekend nanny/tutor to work with 6-year old son and 3-year old daughter, and occasional care for a newborn baby (due November, mother will be primary carer). All the children are happy & healthy. The little boy attends school full time and the girl will start full time nursery in September 2022.

Nanny duties will include general care, feeding, hygiene and clothing, as well as keeping a good schedule and accompaniment to/ organisation of extra-curricular programmes and activities. The family have a strong intellectual focus so reading, keeping tidy and promoting social wellbeing and independence will also be key. The children have tutors for various academic subjects so ideally the nanny will be well-educated to support the kids’ intellectual development.

The parents will also be available at weekends so care and time with the kids will be shared with the family, who are by all accounts wonderful to work with.

Typical working hours will be Friday 7:30am – 7:30pm, Saturday & Sunday 8am – 7:30pm + all Bank Holidays and cover of the weekday nanny’s time off.

This is a London-based role but the family would like to move to Marlow, Buckinghamshire, in April 2023, where hours will be the same and staff accommodation can be provided if required. At this point the role will switch between working in London and Marlow.

The duties of the nanny will include, but not be limited to:
– Feeding, promoting independence
– Bathing, teeth brushing, dressing, helping to get ready for school
– Accompaniment to and from activities and creating stimulating activities at home
– Making sure that toys/books/clothes/uniforms/shoes are in order and tidy
– Organising play dates
– Travelling with the family (within the UK and in Europe)
– Occasional babysitting

Holiday travel will also be required during the year.

This position will start in September, ideally latest by mid-September.

The candidate:

The household is a busy one with the children having a packed schedule. The right candidate will be hands-on, reliable and capable of working both independently and as part of the team as the household is fully staffed including a part-time cook, a housekeeper and an additional nanny.

The family is keen to find someone who values this job and in return the family will always respect and value their nanny.

The candidate should well-trained and well-presented with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role and with all necessary age groups. A nanny /tutor who is a good-role model and who can encourage continued good behaviour and keep the children happy and well-organised will be a perfect fit.

The candidate should be
– Experienced (at least 5 years in a similar role)
– Hands-on, reliable and capable of working independently
– Energetic, organised, caring and responsible
– Able to set and follow a concrete routine with the children
– Experienced in families with several children
– Experienced with working in London and knowing their way around

A driver is not required as the family employs drivers.

The offer:

Weekend schedule, Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays
Salary of £42,000- £70,000 gross per year, depending upon experience
One-year contract
Travel with the family during the year
