A family travelling to the South of France this summer is looking for an experienced governor to work with their 3 boys aged 5, 9 and 14 for 3 months this summer beginning around June 1st. The family would like the governor to engage in sports, games and trips with the boys, keeping them active and speaking English throughout the day.

The boys enjoy football, swimming, water games and sports and running around and having fun, so the governor should be active, engaging and into sports themselves. Typically the boys do not have access to screens during the day and the governor should support this. The boys do, however, have a lovely nanny who will work together with the governor keeping the boys busy while the parents are away.

This is a 6/1 role with typical working hours being from 9-10am until 8-9pm, with a break in the middle of the day. Sundays are days off. The salary is £1200-1400/ week according to experience.

The family will also at some point take a summer yacht trip for around 2 weeks. Here the governor should be ready to work every day and additional working days will be paid at £230/ day.

This is a live-out role, separate accommodation will be provided in the nearby staff villa.

There is the possibility for this role to become long-term, but only for consideration in due course. Primarily this is a temporary summer position.

The candidate:

The ideal candidate will be a sporty governor with a British accent with at least 3 years of experience working in a governor role.

Education to graduate level and teaching qualifications are strongly preferred for this role, and a confident driver would be preferred.

Good references from previous positions are essential, as are good habits and etiquette.
