EED is delighted to be representing a private family in Jumeirah Park, Dubai, seeking a warm, capable Serbian-speaking Carer and Companion for a woman in her late 30s living with a long-term neurological condition. She uses a wheelchair and has an agency nurse for her medical needs, so this role is day-to-day support and companionship, not nursing.
The role centres on genuine companionship alongside practical daily support: helping with meals, assisting with showering and personal care, and general day-to-day family support. The nursing side is fully covered by the agency nurse, so the focus here is on presence, patience and hands-on help with daily life rather than clinical care.
This is a live-in position.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing warm, genuine companionship and building a trusted relationship over time
- Helping with meals and daily routines
- Assisting with showering and personal care
- Mobility support and safe transfers for a wheelchair user
- Working alongside the agency nurse, with a clear and respectful division of roles
- General day-to-day support for the family
Candidate Requirements
- Fluent Serbian speaker
- Warm, patient and genuinely comfortable providing personal care, including showering and mobility support
- Physically capable of safe manual handling and transfers; care-sector or carer training a strong advantage
- Comfortable working closely alongside a nurse as part of a small care team
- Reliable, discreet and comfortable living within a private household
- Kind, calm temperament, suited to building a real relationship with the client over time
- Excellent, verifiable references
- Prior experience as a carer or companion for someone with a physical disability or long-term health condition strongly preferred
The Offer
- Salary: from AED 15,000 per month
