EED is delighted to be representing a prominent UHNW Emirati family based in Dubai, seeking an exceptional Mentor and Companion for their adult son, aged 21 — a trusted, peer-age figure and positive role model who will support his confidence, independence and personal development through shared activities, sport and genuine companionship.
This is a full-time mentorship and companionship role centred on building a real, trusted relationship with a warm, quiet, introverted young man who benefits from a positive, engaging presence in his daily life. The role involves coaching and joining him in his regular sporting activities (horse riding, tennis, padel) as well as broadly encouraging new interests, independence and life skills through everyday shared experience.
The family has strong cultural ties to Scotland, and candidates with a genuine connection to Scotland — having lived, studied or worked there — will be particularly well suited. The role is based in Dubai, five days a week on a flexible, on-call schedule, with travel required when the family travels, including to London where they spend time each summer.
Key Responsibilities
- Building a genuine, trusted mentoring relationship with the family’s 21-year-old son
- Acting as a consistent, positive peer-age presence in his daily life
- Joining and coaching him in his regular sporting activities — horse riding, tennis and padel
- Encouraging new interests, independence and life skills through everyday shared experience
- Supporting the son’s confidence and personal development through genuine companionship
- Travelling with the family as required, including summer periods in London
- Operating with complete discretion within a UHNW family environment
Candidate Requirements
- Well educated, confident and highly discreet
- Peer-age companion who can build a natural, trusted relationship with a 21-year-old
- Experienced working within, or comfortable adapting to, a UHNW private-family environment
- Warm, enthusiastic, personable and genuinely engaging — able to build trust gradually with someone naturally quiet and introverted, without forcing pace or rapport
- Active and sporty across a broad range of interests, ideally including horse riding, tennis and/or padel
- Prior experience mentoring or working closely with young adults, in a formal or informal capacity
- Genuine cultural connection to Scotland (having lived, studied or worked there) particularly well suited
- Willing to be based full-time in Dubai and to travel with the family when required, including to London
- Eligible to live and work in the UAE, ideally with prior Middle East experience
- Excellent, verifiable references
The Offer
- Package: from AED 30,000 per month, negotiable for the right candidate
- Full-time, 5 days per week, flexible and on-call schedule
- Based in Dubai, with travel including London in the summer months
- Visa sponsorship provided by the family
