A friendly family residing in Miami is seeking a qualified and experienced nanny to join their household in the care and education of their two little girls aged 4 and 5. This role involves working closely with the parents and other household staff to ensure the ongoing care and education of the children, as well as the smooth running of the children’s lives both in and out of school. The ideal candidate will be someone who can provide full nanny care as required, as well as additional support, ideas, and extra lessons and skills for school holidays, trips, etc.
The ideal candidate will be a friendly, trustworthy and reliable nanny with significant experience working within families in a similar role. The candidate should ideally be flexible and well-travelled. Language skills additional to English would be a bonus. The two little girls speak English, Portuguese and some Spanish at home. They are well-behaved and inquisitive, and the right nanny will encourage them in their learning and development.
Outside of education, key responsibilities for the role will include overseeing the children’s meals and promoting healthy and nutritious diet plans if necessary. The candidate will also be expected to promote social awareness and etiquette and engage the children in arts and crafts and sports/ other healthy activities. Proxy parenting may be required at home and when travelling.
The candidate will help get the children up and prepared for school in the morning. When the children are at school the nanny will be required to help out around the house in general – helping with general household management duties, running errands, tidying, etc. Childcare duties will resume with the school pick-up and continue through the evening.
The schedule for this role will ideally be daily work. Food and work-related bills will be covered by the employer. Visas for travel outside the US and all associated expenses will be taken care of by the family.
The salary on offer for this position is negotiable around $1500 per week depending upon the final schedule and the candidate’s qualifications and level of experience.

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a US citizen or resident with a work permit, and a native-level speaker of English, French, Spanish or Portuguese. Native-level English will be required as a minimum. The candidate should be fun, active, sporty, and have a “can-do” attitude. Flexibility, an engaging personality, and a willingness to commit to a long-term position with the family are crucial.
The candidate should have suitable qualifications in childcare or education and at least 3 years’ experience working with families in a similar role. The candidate should also possess a nice respectful energy to bring to the house and be a good role model for the children.
The candidate should be an experienced driver, as school pick-up and drop-off will be one of the key duties.
Privacy is very important for this family. The candidate should be ready to sign an NDA before beginning work and to understand that work stays at work. The use of phones at work is discouraged (except for work related situations) and photographs etc. are not permitted. The candidate should be aware that the family have pets at home (cats and a dog).
The Offer:
Negotiable salary offer around $1500 per week for 40 hours of work

All visa and travel expenses to be covered by the family
4 weeks’ paid vacation & 10 days’ paid sick leave per annum included in contract
