EED is delighted to be representing a lovely family based between Monaco and Nice, seeking an exceptional temporary Activity Nanny / Junior Governess to support their long-standing nanny in caring for a delightful six-year-old girl. This is an immediate-start role running from Friday 7th August until the end of August.
This is not a replacement nanny position. The successful candidate will work alongside the family’s existing nanny, providing support during the day and creating fun, engaging and enriching experiences for the child, drawing on strong local knowledge of Monaco and the surrounding Riviera.
The role centres on creating memorable days through swimming, beach games, arts and crafts, baking, museums, treasure hunts, reading, creative projects, simple science experiments, and gently introducing French through everyday conversation. The candidate should be happy taking a few photos and providing the family with a brief daily update.
Working schedule: Approximately 4–5 hours per day, 4–5 days per week (ideally around 12:00pm–5:00pm, with some flexibility).
Key Responsibilities
- Working collaboratively alongside the family’s existing long-standing nanny
- Planning and delivering fun, engaging and enriching daily activities
- Taking the child swimming, to the beach, museums and family-friendly spots around Monaco and Nice
- Leading creative activities including arts and crafts, baking, treasure hunts and simple science experiments
- Gently introducing French through everyday conversation and play
- Driving the child safely to activities and around the local area
- Taking photos and providing a brief daily update to the family
Candidate Requirements
- Warm, kind and naturally playful with a genuinely fun and creative personality
- Native or fluent English speaker
- Fluent French a significant advantage
- Experienced with children aged 5–7
- Excellent swimmer
- Creative, energetic and proactive, full of activity ideas
- Passionate about learning through play
- Own car and clean driving licence essential
- Local to Monaco or Nice, with good knowledge of family-friendly spots in the area
- Comfortable working collaboratively alongside an existing nanny
- Female candidate preferred
- Excellent references
The Offer
- €50 gross per hour
- Approximately 4–5 hours per day, 4–5 days per week (ideally 12:00pm–5:00pm)
- Temporary summer position: 7 August until end of August
- Working alongside the family’s existing long-standing nanny
