We maintain a small, carefully curated pool of governess candidates. Many of the roles we fill are never publicly advertised — families come to us specifically because they trust our judgement, our discretion and the high calibre of candidates we represent.
Governess Roles We Place
Full-Time Live-In Governess
Sole charge or working alongside household staff in a London or international primary residence. The core EED placement — typically £45,000–£75,000 gross p.a.
Rota Governess
Working in rotation with a second governess for families requiring uninterrupted educational cover across multiple residences or international travel — typically £55,000–£100,000+ gross p.a.
Bilingual Governess
Delivering education in two languages — French, Mandarin, Spanish and Arabic most commonly requested. Language premiums apply to all bilingual placements.
Homeschooling Governess
Taking primary responsibility for a child’s full educational programme within the private household — typically £55,000–£90,000+ gross p.a. QTS or equivalent required.
Nanny Governess
Combining care and education for younger children (aged 3–10) — dual-qualified candidates with both childcare and strong educational backgrounds.
Travelling Governess
Accompanying families on extended international travel — maintaining educational continuity across multiple locations, time zones and school holiday periods.
What We Look For
- Excellent academic credentials and a genuine love of teaching
- Experience preparing children for competitive school entry — 7+, 11+, 13+, Common Entrance
- Fluency in a second language — particularly French, Mandarin, Spanish or Arabic
- Flexibility to travel internationally and work across multiple residences
- Impeccable references from previous private household or high-profile employers
- Absolute professionalism and discretion at all times
