A full-time English-speaking nanny is required to take care of a young girl aged 5 in Cyprus, with a starting salary of €1200-€1500 per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care for the child, ensuring that she is reaching all age-appropriate milestones, organising fun and educational activities, and assisting with bathing, cooking, homework and general organisation. The nanny will also be required to accompany the child to her daily English kindergarten and monitor her performance at school.
The role is live-in, and the candidate should be an EU passport holder.
Other duties include: taking the child to playgroups, school, and other after-school activities, organising fun and educational activities to promote the child’s development, motivating and encouraging the child through diverse activities and games, teaching good manners and principles of etiquette, monitoring the child’s learning progress, and maintaining the child’s play area to ensure safety and cleanliness.
The working schedule will be 5/2, working Monday – Friday from midday – 8.30 pm. The working schedule may change once the family relocates to Prague after the summer, where the nanny will join them and help the young girl settle into her new school. The candidate will be provided with a private bedroom within the family home in Cyprus and, later, a separate apartment in Prague.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a mature individual with relevant childcare qualifications and at least 10 years of experience working in similar roles.
The nanny should have vast knowledge of early years and child development, be native-level fluent in English, and have some knowledge of basic Russian language. Speaking French or Spanish would be a plus. The successful candidate should have a can-do attitude and be confident and sociable.
The candidate should be comfortable with keeping a daily nanny daily for the family regarding the child’s development, as well as compliance with hygiene and safety rules. The nanny should be flexible and ready to travel with the family when required.
Salary of up to €1500 per week
