A fantastic teaching opportunity is available for a suitably qualified teacher to work with 3 delightful children in Moscow, Russia. The children are girls aged 12 and 5 and a 9-year old boy and attend school locally in Moscow.
The tutor will be required to work with the children after they return home beginning at 12pm and working until approximately 9pm.
The working day will involve collecting the children from school, accompanying them to extra-curricular activities, walks and then sit-down lessons with the children individually to introduce and reinforce English-language concepts covered during the week.
The children already speak fluent English, and the tutor should reinforce this by giving them an English-language speaking environment throughout the time spent together.
The family employs drivers and nannies, so no driving or care duties are required for this role. The driver will also collect the candidate from their accommodation (a separate apartment is provided) and drop them off each working day. The children themselves are friendly, active and generally well-behaved. The parents in the family speak English to communicate with the candidate.
The working schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, giving the candidate the opportunity to go and explore Moscow on weekends and socialise with both expats and locals. The agency already has a network of teachers working in Moscow.
The candidate is also expected to travel with the family throughout the year, spending summers in France and other school holiday periods travelling to Italy, Dubai or the Maldives.
The successful candidate must be a qualified teacher and should be reliable and well organised. The ideal tutor will be flexible, positive and ready to adapt to the family’s schedule and plans. The candidate should also have the confidence to support and extend the children in their English language development.
Qualification requirements for this role would be either PGCE, QTS, BA Education or a degree in English or Modern Languages, as well as significant experience in either tutoring or classroom-environment teaching.
