A friendly Moscow-based family seeks an experienced and qualified governor to work with a boy aged 9 and a girl aged 8.
The children already speak intermediate level English as well as their native Russian. They speak English at school but the family feels that it is now time for them to push on and increase their English language knowledge, and to focus more on English grammar and sit-down lessons. Tutoring will therefore be a core initiative of the governor’s responsibilities in this position.
The perfect candidate for this position will have a high level of English and be a qualified teacher, experienced working in a family or ‘home environment’. Personal qualities would ideally include being fresh and energetic, but also firm and fair and able to build a warm connection with the kids. The tutor should be calm and have strong moral values, a role model who can work with the kids on language and manners.
The family travels often; if the candidate has a vaccination recognised in Europe that would be beneficial, although sometimes the family may choose to travel without the tutor.
The family can offer accommodation, a driver and visa support for the right candidate. Their top priority is finding a governor/ tutor who can bond with the children and promote independence.
The schedule for this position will be after school and weekend days across 5 days per week for a total of approximately 30 hours, to be finalised according to the tutor’s availability and the children’s school timetable.
